Meat Loaf

Meatloaf

Meatloaf is a classic comfort food dish that is made from ground meat, typically beef, mixed with other ingredients such as breadcrumbs, eggs, onions, and seasonings. The mixture is then formed into a loaf shape and baked in the oven until cooked through.

Meatloaf can be made with different types of ground meat, including beef, pork, lamb, or a combination of these. The breadcrumbs and eggs help bind the mixture together, while onions, garlic, and other seasonings add flavor. Some recipes also call for adding other ingredients like grated vegetables, cheese, or bacon to the mixture.

Meatloaf is often served with a savory tomato-based sauce, which is made by combining ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. The sauce is spread over the top of the meatloaf before baking, and it caramelizes as the meatloaf cooks, adding a sweet and tangy flavor to the dish.

Meatloaf is a versatile dish that can be customized to suit individual tastes. It can be made with different types of meat, seasonings, and sauces, and it can be served hot or cold. It is a classic comfort food that is often served for family dinners, potlucks, and other casual gatherings.
