About Dothan Area Botanical Gardens: The Dothan Area Botanical Gardens (DABG) spans 50 acres of beautifully cultivated gardens, nature trails, and undeveloped wooded landscapes. Established as a non-profit organization in July 1991, the Gardens have grown steadily under the leadership of an all-volunteer Board of Directors. Located in southeast Alabama, just off U.S. Highway 431 between Dothan and Headland, DABG offers a serene escape for nature lovers and garden enthusiasts.

Mission: DABG aims to enhance the quality of life for Wiregrass citizens, serve as an educational resource for children and adults in garden lore and environmental issues, and promote tourism and economic development in southeast Alabama.

Visitor Guidelines: To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors and to protect the Gardens, please respect the following guidelines:

• The Dothan Area Botanical Gardens is a Smoke-Free facility.
• No swimming, wading, fishing, or throwing objects into any body of water.
• Bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, and loud music are not permitted.
• Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times. Please clean up after your pets.

Virtual Tour: Visitors can conduct a virtual tour of the Gardens on the DABG website to explore many of the garden areas and see a sampling of upcoming events. However, experiencing the Gardens in person is highly encouraged to fully appreciate the beauty and tranquility they offer.
