The building housing Garrison Farm & Home Center began as a truck farmers co-op in the 1940s, where local farmers brought their produce to be shipped to larger markets. It later became a bulk fertilizer terminal and a feed and seed store. The previous owner had been in business since 1971 before it was purchased and transformed into Garrison Farm & Home Center in 1999.

Over the past 22 years, the Garrison family has significantly remodeled and expanded the facility. The retail showroom now spans approximately 2600 square feet, and the warehouse space has been greatly increased to accommodate a wider range of products.
