The Priester’s Pecans Story: The story of Priester’s Pecans began in Fort Deposit, Alabama, a small town located 35 miles south of Montgomery. In 1935, L.C. Priester owned a Texaco station and decided to offer refreshments and a taste of the South to travelers passing through. He began selling pecans gathered by a local man named Caesar and eventually started cracking and shelling the pecans for customers. This simple idea grew into Alabama’s largest gourmet handmade candy company, thanks to the dedication and hard work of L.C., Mrs. Priester, and local ladies who helped with the pecans.
Today, Priester’s Pecans continues to uphold the values of exceptional pecans and customer service. The company, now run by Thomas and his family, remains committed to providing the finest quality pecan products the South has to offer.
