Profile
The Sunflower Field began as a journey of resilience and reinvention. After losing their successful small business in 2009 due to the economic crash, Kim and Todd faced a daunting new beginning. With three healthy children, their own health, and a supportive family, they still had much to be thankful for, but the transition was challenging and life-changing.
Happy Flowers
The first field of sunflowers was planted in the summer of 2016. Initially, the sunflower seeds were sold for making cooking oil and as bulk bird seed. The stunning bloom of the flowers attracted a crowd, leading The Sunflower Field to invite community friends and family to enjoy the fields and take pictures. Seeing the joy the flowers brought, they soon began allowing guests to purchase and cut sunflowers, whether a single stem or a bucket full.
2024 Marks the 9th Season
As The Sunflower Field enters its 9th season in 2024, visitors from near and far are welcomed. Most of the sunflowers are still harvested and bagged for sale after the guests have enjoyed their time in the fields. Follow on Facebook for current bloom times and hours of operation.
Fresh Cut Beef
In addition to sunflowers, The Sunflower Field also sells fresh cut beef. For those interested in purchasing beef, private messages can be sent on the Facebook page, The Sunflower Field.
